Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Let's just say there's much room for improvement.  It was mediocre conditions - at best - but the expectation of things to come made it totally worthwhile.  Just the drive back, with the 3 miles in 2 hours, 54 miles in chains, full on white-out conditions with little to no visibility and the grand total of an 8+ hour journey set the scene for the next trips up.

Even though the Northstar website might have claimed 7+ runs, I'd say they had more like 1.  It was the run that included the terrain park and it was made out of salt and ice.  My new board handled it well, cutting sharply into the iciness, and showing me how powerful it will be on decent conditions.

At Northstar, they use Snowboarders as "Ski-Patrol".  It doesn't make any sense.  I watched as a dude was riding down the mountain, full traverse, almost seated, while dragging the injured rider.  That must be beyond killer on their calfs.
